About Dr. Lynch – Orthopedic Surgeon
Dr. Michael M. Lynch is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon specializing in treating severe joint pain. His main objective is to restore his patient’s mobility and help them return to the lifestyle to which they were accustomed as quickly as possible. So he favors non-surgical and minimally invasive surgical techniques in order to minimize the time and physical impact of treatment and recovery.
Dr. Lynch’s diverse orthopedic expertise includes arthroscopic shoulder surgery, rotator cuff repairs, sports medicine, and adult and pediatric orthopedics. Today, he is focused on computer-assisted knee replacements. For patients who need a knee replacement, Dr.Lynch offers Conformis Customized Knee Implants, which are customized to each patient’s unique anatomy for a better-fitting knee.

Education and Background
Dr. Lynch received his medical degree from Geisel Medical School at Dartmouth College. He completed his residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, Harvard Combined Orthopedic Surgery Program and New England Deaconess Hospital in Boston, MA. He also completed fellowships at Union Memorial Hospital and Boston Children’s Hospital in Boston, MA.
Dr. Lynch is on the Board of Directors of the Fairfield County Medical Association, and is past Chairman of the Board of Trustees. He has been a CT Magazine Top Doc from 2009 through 2015, and has also received the Scallon Award. His published work includes Chondroblastoma: A Review of Thirty-four Cases through the American Academy of Pediatrics, and he has affiliations with Norwalk Hospital in Norwalk, CT.
